Reiterating coalition Government’s commitment to provide better civic amenities to the people, BJP MLA from Kathua Constituency, Rajiv Jasrotia has said that massive development activities have been launched in Kathua Constituency to ensure safe drinking water, better sewerage, lanes and drains and hygienic surroundings in every nook and corner of the State. This was stated by the MLA while interacting with the people after inaugurating blacktopping work from Budhi onwards having length 1.5 km at the cost 45 lacs in presence of Sarpanch Kamal, Sarpanch Roshan, BJP Kandi Mandal Pardhan Kulwant Singh, Anil, Ashwani Sharma besides Villagers and PWD officials. MLA said with the starting of this works, the long pending demand of the people has been redressed, adding that necessary instructions have been given to the concerned engineers to complete the works within stipulated time frame. He asked the people to personally monitor the quality of ongoing development works in their respective areas. He said that coalition Government has introduced various reformative measures to extend improved basic amenities to the people of the State especially those living in rural and far-flung areas. MLA while mentioning the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, said that farmers of the State especially of the Kandi areas can be compensated adequately in drought like conditions or any other type of damages under this revolutionary step. He further highlighted the recently launched amnesty scheme of PDD in which benefits were provided to consumers in large numbers. While asking the people to partake in implementation of various welfare programs, the MLA said that their participatory role in day to day governance strengthens the basic democratic set up. He said Government has taken several concrete measures to create durable infrastructure to upgrade the living standard of the people.
