Speaker J&K Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today interacted with several deputations who called on him here today to seek speedy redressal of their grievances and demands.
The deputations who called on the Speaker include a deputation from Bathindi- Bermini led by Ch. Mohd. Shareef Hussain, deputation of mechanics from Transport Nagar- Narwal, deputation of Rehri zone of Gandhi Nagar, deputation from several other areas of his constituency.
People from Bermini- Bathindi expressed their gratitude to the speaker for starting the long pending Rs. 4.5 cr. Blacktopping/Upgradation of the road in their area and apprised him about the requirement related to conductor and poles for proper supply of electricity, infrastructural requirement of schools and improvement of drainage system in the interior localities.
The street vendors of Transport Nagar, Gandhi Nagar and others also apprised him regarding the difficulties faced by them in carrying out their daily routine work and sought his intervention for giving them relief.
The Speaker informed them that Rs 1.8 cr for procuring poles and conductors have been made available with the PDD and the department is installing and procuring the same as per the requirement of the people of Gandhi Nagar.
He further said that the steps have been taken for upgradation of schools, improving the drainage network along with placing dustbins in Rehri Zone and streamling the traffic problems.
Gupta said that government is responsive to the people’s problems and is working judiciously and in transparent manner to fulfil their aspirations and expectations.
Assuring the deputations and individuals, he said that their genuine demands would be given due consideration and will be taken up with the concerned departments on priority.
He added that government is alive to the public demands and necessary measures are already afoot to upgrade basic amenities and ensure prompt public service delivery.
