Members from Sikh Community led by BJP Senior leader and State Incharge All Cells S. Varinderjit Singh held a press conference in which he threw light upon important issues and decisions concerning to Sikh Community.
While talking to Media persons, Varinderjit Singh threw light on the major issues concerning to the Sikh community and said that previous successive governments have only exploited minority community although history has been flooded with incidences of exemplary valour and pride during the sacrifices made by community in the times of distraught, foreign invasions and other events in war and peace.
Varinderjit Singh said that the Sikh community has been viewed as peculiarly optimistic and respected community in whole world, who always take the lead in social causes with love for those in distress on the principles of Saint Soldier Guru Gobind Singh ji and setting an example of how a person must incorporate the feeling of donating instead of seeking from the world. The contributions from the community being given due recognition by BJP, he added.
Varinderjit Singh further said that the Sikh community is today feeling thankful to the leadership of Central Government being headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the approval of including the history of Char Sahibzaada of Shri Gobind Singh Ji in NCERT School Books from next session. He also thanked J&K BJP especially State President Sat Sharma and State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul for providing 51 lakh rupees to Jammu University to establish Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji Chair. He also thanked Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly & MLA Gandhi Nagar Kavinder Gupta and MLC Charanjit Singh Khalsa who gave 25 Lakh rupees towards Guru Nanak Mission hospital.
Varinderjit Singh also apprised the media persons that he has written a letter to PM Modi in which he has elaborated about S. Vagal Singh, S. Jassa Singh Alhuwalia, S. Jassa Singh Ramgaria who uprooted the Mughals from India and unfurled the Kesri flag on Red Fort on 11 March 1783 and said that their statues should be established at the public place so that justice could be done to their contributions for the Nation.
Kulwant Singh Bhatti, Gurdyal Singh Bali, Malvinder Singh, Gurdeep Singh Bali, Harpal Singh Bali, Inderjeet Kour and others were among the prominent persons present in the Press Conference.
