In a simple programme held at J&K Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes & Backward Classes Development Corporation Limited, Head office at Jammu, its Vice-Chairperson Balbir Ram Rattan, handed over vehicle key to a loan beneficiary in presence of Corporation Divisional Manager Gulam Qadir Khatana, Jammu District Manager Joginder Paul Atri, BJP Jammu District President Baldev Singh Billawaria and District General Secretary Vijay Gupta.
The vehicle, a Tata Mobile 207, has been provided to a scheduled caste category unemployed male Satish Kumar of Talab Tillo area of Jammu under Transport Sector on concessional rate of interest.
Balbir Ram Rattan, on handing over the key of the said vehicle to the beneficiary, advised him to make best use of Tata Mobile as load carrier to earn livelihood and repay the monthly instalments on regular basis. He also asked the loan beneficiary to educate the members of his community to avail the benefits of the government sponsored schemes.
Balbir said that the Corporation is always at the service of the weaker sections of the society to help them in setting up of one’s own unit to earn livelihood.
“Instead of sitting idle at home after completing studies and waiting for government job, the youth should focus on alternate means to be self reliant and the financial institutions are the best option for them”, said the VC.
Divisional Manager, Gulam Qadir Khatana, on this occasion, said that an amount of rupees 6.55 lakh has been provided as loan by the Corporation with just rupees 33 thousand as margin money contribution from the loanee. The loan availed has to been repaid in 66 months period with rupees 12.5 thousand as monthly installment.
