The BJP advises the Congress leaders of high stature in their party hailing from Billawar to do a little homework before going in public to make such statements which are contradictory and aimed at misleading the people. If the people have rejected the Congress and brought in BJP, it might be due to the fact that the voters realized their mistake of repeating Congress on false promises. In a joint statement, BJP Ramkot Mandal President Kuldeep Abrol, Kandi Mandal President Sudesh Sethu and Billawar Mandal President Capt. Om Prakash, rebuffed the false allegations of one of the senior leader of Congress from Billawar Dr. Manohar Lal, saying that he has nothing concrete to claim but is trying to tarnish the image of Billawar MLA Dr. Nirmal Singh, who is also Deputy Chief Minister in the coalition government.
The Mandal Presidents said that it would have been better had the Congress leader gone through the long list of developmental activities and welfare schemes started in Billawar constituency by Dr. Nirmal Singh in the two years as compared to 12 years when the constituency was represented by Congress. In the last two years, Dr. Nirmal Singh got sanctioned and started works of rupees 300 crores in Billawar and fifty per cent of them have been completed so far.
They told the Congress leader that black topping of Billawar Bus Stand and Matador Stand at the cost of Rs. 48 lakh and Rs. 50 lakh, blacktopping of Dayalachak Challan road by spending Rs. 6.5 crores have been completed, blacktopping of Dhar road is under progress, blacktopping of Billawar to Sukral Road at Rs. 2.55 crore and Billawar to Bhaddu at Rs. 4 crore have been completed. Transformers of Power House Billawar and Gurah Kalyal have been upgraded at Rs. 3.5 crore, 40 new hand pumps have been drilled in Billawar constituency, Community Hall at Mela of rupees 30 Lakh cost is under construction, toilet complex at Bus Stand for 27 lakh has been constructed, 100 bed hospital at Billawar at the cost of 21 crore is at final stage, work on Indoor Stadium at Billawar has been started, Rest House building at Billawar for rupees 178 lakh is almost complete, Critical Care Ambulance of 35 lakh has been provided, Community Hall at Ramkot for 50 lakh is under construction, Jothana Bridge of rupee 47 crore is at soil testing stage, tenders have already been floated for 21 new PMGSY roads and one new bridge of Katni Parnalla of 102 crores and 2 x 50 MVA power grid at Rampur Rasool of 78 crore are few of the works of two years of the MLA but the Congress leader do not see them, which is reflective of the frustration of being out of power.
