BJP State Kissan Morcha led by its State President Rajinder Singh Chib credited Union government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely for the public and especially farmer friendly budget in 2018 during a press conference held at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
While interacting with the media persons, Rajinder Singh Chib said that the present dispensation is seriously working for upgrading the status of .living of farmers while opening new paths for the increase in the income of the farmers while also focussing on the distribution and other factors after the production till its final consumption by the consumers.
While enumerating various farmer friendly points, he said that farmers will get 1.5 times more price than their last price from Kharif crops. He also said that the farmers working in fisheries and dairies will also be issued with Kissan Credit Cards, which will go a long way in meeting their day to day investments in the business. He remarked that rupees 2000 Crore have been kept for construction of local markets where they can have direct access, 10,000 crore will be spent for increasing the fisheries work/dairies rupees while rupees 2600 crores will be spent for irrigation purpose in 96 districts, thus reducing dependency on the natural rains. Under Yojana ‘Operation Green’ for protection of Potatoes, Tomatoes, Onion rupees 500 crores will be spent while for standardizing Bamboo production, rupees 17.90 crores will be spent, he added.
He also enumerated various other things which will help farmers like all Agro Companies will be excused from Tax on profits for last 5 years. For pacing the modernization of farming techniques, 5 Crore villagers will be connected with internets for which rupees 1000 Crores is kept. He also said that every poor family will be covered for Health Insurance of rupees 5 lakh each by which over all 40 crore people will be benefits from this budget.
Kissan Morcha State General Secretaries Capt. Kasturi Lal Sharma and Capt. Raghubir Singh Manhas and Morcha State Media Secretary Deepak Sharma were also present during the Press Conference.
