BJP is going to win the District Development Council (DDC) Elections across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir with thumping majority.
This was stated by former Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader, Shri Kavinder Gupta while addressing a meeting of party workers and party’ counting agents meeting in Udhampur constituency.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said the Saffron Party will hopefully excel in these DDC polls which are mending to strengthen the democracy from the grass root level.
“Witnessing the developmental works carried out by the BJP led government for the last six years when party came into power, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have wholeheartedly supported and voted the party in these DDC elections,” Shri Kavinder Gupta observed, adding “As the party has changed the developmental scenario of the UT towards new horizons; the same was witnessed by the masses.”
Shri Kavinder Gupta said that BJP is the only party which can and has scripted a new dawn of development and prosperity and peace in the UT. Holding of DDC elections was the project plan of BJP’s developmental agenda, Kavinder said that these elections are being conducted first time in the history of J&K UT and these are the first major elections conducted after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A) from the erstwhile state.
“People of Jammu and Kashmir have utmost faith in BJP and believe that the party will leave no stone unturned for the peace, growth, progress and prosperity in J&K,” senior BJP leader said.
The senior BJP leader expressed his gratitude towards the party DDC candidates and workers for their tireless efforts while carrying out campaigning and spreading the policies and programmes of BJP. He also appreciated the BJP workers who conducted door to door campaigns for the candidates in fray. “These party campaigners played a key role and due their due efforts the people came out of their homes in huge numbers and voted for BJP,” he said.
As the DDC polls counting scheduled to be held on tomorrow i.e, December 22, Shri Kavinder Gupta exhorted upon the counting agents to remain vigilant during the counting process and hoped that the Party (BJP) will win with a thumping majority in the Union Territory and the people would witness a new era of development in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Pawan Gupta, former minister, RS Pathania, Ex MLA, Balwan Singh and Jeevan Sharma BDC Chairpersons were also present in the meeting.
