Chairs the meeting of the full committee at Delhi today
Newly appointed Chairperson of the Education and Women Welfare Committee (EWWC) of Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India Dr. Darakhshan AnDr.abi today assumed charge of her office at New Delhi. The newly nominated members of EWWC also took charge of their responsibilities today at the Committee’s Saket Office in New Delhi. Just after assuming charge Dr. Darakhshan AnDr.abi convened the meeting of the full committee and discussed the proposal points of the committee as set by the union government. While chairing the meeting Dr. Darakhshan emphasized on the need of vocational and technical education of the minority community throughout the country. She fixed the responsibility for every member including her own self to gather inputs and data from different states regarding the status and implementation of Educational and welfare schemes for minorities. She said that modern education for youth and welfare measures for women of the minority community will change the state of affairs of the community and the country at large. She said that she was happy to be part of this big mission as the present central government believes in practical positive development of the minorities in India deviating from the appeasement policy based on hollow slogans of the previous regimes for sixty years. Dr. Darakhshan said that inclusive development of all communities was the real strength of India and PM’s Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas was the driving force for the country. In her address, she said that when a large number of minority youth qualify for Civil Services, it indicates that future of the community is bright. She congratulated those who qualified in CSE 2016 and praised those who worked hard at social level to inspire and guide these youth to be part of the mainstream governing force of India. Dr. Darakhshan said that she will work hard to realize the hopes of the community and the trust Dr. Najma Heptullah and the Prime Minister has posed in me. Later today Dr. Darakhshan met the Union Minister of Minority Affairs Dr. Heptullah and informed her about the Committee’s deliberations.
