Dr. Gagan Bhagat MLA from R.S. Pura on Sunday opened the much awaited Param Vir Chakra Bana Singh Indoor Stadium in the presence of several youths and prominent persons of R.S. Pura along with Sub-District Administration, while addressing the gathering Dr.Gagan Bhagat said that this Indoor Stadium was the need of the hour, since the youth of R.S. Pura is multitalented, it is very unfortunate that the stadium started four years back was not complete, and since the day he has been elected as an Legislator, and being a youth he took keen interest in the project and after completing all the hurdles in its completion, the said stadium was waiting for its inauguration and despite fixing date after date for its opening for the local youths. The District Development Board meeting which was held few days ago I raised the issue of Indoor stadium of R.S. Pura, and the directions were issue by the Chairman of the Board regarding of the issue of the Indoor Stadium. Dr. Gagan Bhagat added that being a MLA its his duty towards the residents particularly the youths of the R.S. Pura Constituency and opening this stadium will benefit them, as during the summers the students can avail the full benefit of their vacations, and nurture their talent. Divisional Sports officer told that the stadium will have various sports facilities like Judo, Table tennis, Wrestling, Carrom, Chess, and many more will be added in the future as per the requirement of the sportspersons. Dr. Gagan Bhagat also gave directions to the officials regarding water cooler along with water filter, fencing with barbered wire behind the stadium complex, power inverter, and shed in front of the Indoor stadium along with benches which can be used as waiting area, resting area, Dr. Bhagat also directed to complete the work of earth filling the main stadium, as there is a very big problem of water logging in the whole stadium and its adjoining areas. The people who were present on the spot also appreciated the move by the MLA R.S. Pura, as this was the very long and much needed demand of the youths who had no place for the sports activities, and above all the youths were indulging in the drug trafficking and addiction due to absence of these type of facilities and we are very thankful to Dr. Gagan Bhagat. Later on the Legislator R.S. Pura visited the Tanda-Kotli Shah Doula Road to access the status of the Macadamization work which was being done and met with the local inhabitants and discussed the problems with them.On the occasion E.O. R.S. Pura Jodhraj, Tehsildaar R.S. Pura, SDPO R.S. Pura, Divisional Sports Officer Rajan Sharma, SHO R.S. Pura Harish Dayama IPS, XEN (Sports Council), AEE (Sports Council), BDO R.S. Pura, Manager Bana Singh Stadium Baljinder Singh, Mandal Pradhan Natharam, BJP City President Inder Sudan, Charanjeet, Avtar Singh, Bodh Raj, Sarpanch Vinod Sharma, Sarpanch Bahadur, Vinod Choudhary, Rajesh Babbu and others were also present.
