Under party’s ongoing series of programmes as part of “Gramoday to Bharat Uday”campaign, BJP State General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, alongwith State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria, MLA Ramnagar R.S.Pathania and Udampur District President Rajesh Gupta, addressed public and workers meetings at Majalta and Ramnagar. These leaders highlighted the achievements of BJP-led NDA government which have been started for the benefit of rural population.
Ashok Koul, while speaking in these meetings, said that Narendra Modi-led government at the centre has done tremendous work for development of the rural areas and welfare of the farmers during the last two years. He said that the PM is of the view that the nation cannot progress if the rural areas do not have proper connectivity, means of communication, better facilities of health and education and lacks development. Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is an historic initiative of this government. He said that the previous government at centre never planned and executed such cover for farmers as a result of which they had been even committing suicides. Electrification of every village is Modi’s dream and work on this is going with covering of 10 villages in a day. During the tenure of former Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee connectivity to the villages was on priority, which was a gift to the villages of India. Modi government is working with same zeal to connect villages with the towns and cities. He said that “Soil health card” is a scheme to get details about the health of the soil for better productivity and it has been started for farmers of the country, which will in turn result into healthy and huge production.
Pawan Khajuria said that the provision of LPG gas connections to the poor women in rural areas is highly appreciable as it will not only save wood but the women will not have to suffer diseases on account of the smoke of the traditional desi chullah. He said that construction of toilets for women in rural areas is also a great initiative.
R.S. Pathania said that the projects and schemes launched by Naredra Modi government will not only usher a new era of development in rural areas but also bring prosperity and progress in the lives of people who had been leading miserable lives in absence of poor means of communication as well as facing economic crisis due to failure of crops and non availability of basic amenities in villages.
