Highlighting the performance of the Narendra Modi government in the past two years, BJP Mahila Morcha Jammu District President Rekha Mahajan today said the government is moving on the right track with its pro people policies and programmes.”This government is committed to work for each and every section of society and is working day and night for the uplift of poor farmers, downtrodden, dalits, backwards, women and common people,” She said while addressing party workers in an awareness programme organized as part of the celebrations of Vikas Purv at Nai Basti today. She exhorted party activists to make aware all about Narendra Modi government’s schemes. She asked party workers to take the welfare schemes of the Modi government such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao to each doorstep. PMSBY is a renewable one-year accidental death-cum-disability insurance scheme of `2 lakh for partial or permanent disability to all savings bank account holders in the age group of 18-70 years for a premium of `12 per annum per subscriber, she added. PMJJBY offers a renewable one-year life cover of `2 lakh to all savings account holders in the age group of 18-50 years covering death due to any reason for a premium of `330 per annum per subscriber.
Speaking on the occasion, she said that this scheme is yet another step by PM aimed to working for the upliftment of the society, especially the poor and the needy. Expressing confidence and hope she maintained that such types of initiatives will definitely improve prospect of livelihood of the people of our country. She appealed the gathering to take benefits of other schemes like Jan Dhan Yojna, Atal Bima Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna and Beti Bachao Beti Padao which have been proved beneficial for people across the nation. BJP is committed on its words of ” Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas as this is in continuation with Government’s commitment of providing security covers in the event of any unforeseen circumstance and is one of the women oriented schemes launched by the Prime Minister. The programme was based on various flagship programmes of Government of India with a view to aware the masses in general and the young generation in particular about benefits and salient features of various centrally sponsored schemes.
