BJP State General Secretary Harinder Gupta, while chairing a meeting of Jammu West District on Sunday, exhorted the district office bearers to ensure that the programmes related to the ongoing “Jan Vishwas Yatra” at booths level are completed at the earliest. He also sought details on the booths covered so far and further stressed upon them to gear up their activities in view of the forthcoming elections of Urban Local Bodies.
Harinder Gupta said that the party has launched “Jan Vishwas Yatra” at the booths level across the state with an objective of highlighting the achievements of the BJP led NDA government at the centre and during its ten month rule as coalition partner in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that during two years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a number of path breaking decisions, initiated numerous developmental projects and welfare schemes for bringing progress and prosperity. Our government in the state also took various projects and welfare schemes and we need to educate the public about the same by reaching every nook and corner and cover maximum population.
Harinder Gupta told these office bearers that each one of them hold responsible position in the district and is the face of the party and hence it becomes imperative on their part to devote more time as the elections of the ULBs are on the corner. He said that BJP has to write one more chapter in these elections by winning maximum seats in the Municipal Corporation. He also asked them to identify the discrepancies in the voter lists in their respective areas and help the voters to get the same rectified so that no one remains deprives of exercising his right.
District President Ayodhya Gupta, during the meeting, presented details about various activities going on in different wards of the district and assured that his team will work to the best of its capability to make the party programmes successful.
