President and MLA Jammu west Sat Sharma and party chief whip and MLA Jammu east Rajesh Gupta asked the government to withdraw the SROs without the budget being passed by the government.
The speaker of the J&K legislative assembly Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday asked the government to withdraw all the SROs issued by the finance ministry in the budget presented on May 30th.
Rajesh Gupta while speaking in the assembly said that imposition of VAT on hosiery goods and readymade garments from 5% to 14.5% is unethical.
MLA Jammu west and president BJP Sat Sharma in his reply to the finance ministry said that in the centre the excise duty and custom duty is imposed from the date of the budget but in our state the SRO issued after the budget is passed in the house.
Sat Sharma and Rajesh Gupta asked the government to roll back the imposition of all those taxes that are unethical.
