Taking forward the agenda of development in Gandhi Nagar constituency, Speaker J&K legislative assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today inaugurated various development works in his constituency.He was accompanied by SDM, Jammu South, Sonu Pargal; BDO, Satwari, A K Khajuria; X-En, PWD(R&B), Mohammad Abdullah; AEE, PWD(R&B), Rafiq Sheikh and Manoj Kumar, Baldev Billoria, Vinay Gupta, Harbans Chowdhary, Balwant Singh, Cpt. Jameet Singh, Harnam Singh and prominent leaders of the area.The Speaker undertook a whirlwind tour of his constituency and inaugurated the work for construction of lane & drain at Ambika Colony- Kunjwani, black topping of road at Trikuta Nagar, Sunjwan and Bhathindi.The Speaker held various public darbars and interacted with the locals at these places, locals appreciated the efforts of the Speaker for the timely completion of these long pending demands of the area.Addressing the locals, he said, it is his priority to fulfill the needs of the residents of Gandhi Nagar and every requirement related to development is taken up on priority and the works pertaining to improvement of power and water supply, construction of lanes and drains and other allied works related to development are high on his agenda and will be completed in a time bound manner.Stating that the state government is committed to give every possible service to the masses, he said that it will be seen that no area of his constituency will be lack behind in development.The Speaker said that he is well aware of the requirements of the people and his whole team is working day and night for the welfare of the constituency.
Making an appeal to the locals and the social activists, he said that it is also their responsibility to propagate the achievements of the government and involve themselves directly or indirectly in the development process in order to achieve the dream of welfare state.
