Under party’s ongoing mass contact programmes under “Jan Sampark Yatra”, Gandhi Nagar MLA of Bharatiya Janata Party Kavinder Gupta, alongwith Jammu District President Baldev Singh Billawaria and other leaders, kick started the yatra from Barjata village of Chatha Panchayat. After passing through different villages of the panchayat, it stopped at Chatha for its further travel .
Kavinder Gupta, while interacting with the people in the yatra route, said that the Narendra Modi government at the Centre has taken a number of bold and historic decisions aimed at bridging the gap between Urban and Rural areas, ensuring due compensation to the farmers in case of crop failure, providing basic amenities to villages etc. The focus on the economic upliftment of the rural population has been the milestone initiative of the BJP government under the able Prime Ministership of Narendra Modi.
Similarly, the state government is also laying focus on development of the rural areas and the real motive to take out “Jan Sampark Yatra” is to educate the people in rural areas about the pro-farmers, pro-rural development based programme and policies of the BJP government at the centre and in the state.
Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the yatra will travel through the entire rural area of Gandhi Nagar Assembly Constituency till March 05 and the people will have direct access to the leaders accompanying the yatra. He said that the overwhelming response and enthusiasm displayed by the people on the very first day of its starts itself speaks that everyone stands with PM Modi and his party as they have realized that only BJP and its governments have the real concern and pain for the people living in rural, far flung, backward and under developed areas.
BJP leaders Harbans Choudhary, Ankush Gupta, Pt. Ashok Khajuria, Ex-Sarpanch Vijay Sharma, Ex-Panch Bachno Devi and Pitamber Sharma also accompanied the Yatra.
