During his second day of visit to Poonch district, BJP State General Secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, visited Surankot and Poonch assembly constituencies, where he interacted with party activists and addressed their meetings. He was accompanied by State Secretary Sunil Gupta, local senior leaders, District and Mandal Presidents.
Ashok Koul, while speaking in these meetings, said that the BJP follows a healthy practice of inner democracy and bestows organisational responsibilities to party activists after every three years after elections at different levels. The new teams thus constituted have to take forward the task of making people familiar with party ideology, principles and get their support.
Koul said that the people of Jammu province in particular had been yearning for a change and they gave BJP a mandate to form the government. “After formation of government as coalition partner, our ministers got initiated a number of mega projects and developmental activities, which indicated that an era of development had started in realilty”, Ashok Koul said and added that the ten months rule of BJP got appreciation from all the three regions of the state. He asked the party activists to get themselves well acquainted with the achievements of the previous government in the state as well as those of Narendra Modi –led government at the centre and present the same before people in their respective areas and they themselves will conclude that it is only BJP which has serious concern for development and welfare of every section of the society.
Besides BJP senior leader Pardeep Sharma, Poonch District President Capt. Bansi Lal, party local leaders leader Abdul Aziz, Roshan Lal, Naresh Sharma, Abdul Hamid, Zakir Malik and member Haji Mumtaz Khan also addressed these meetings.
