NHPC Limited in association with Sood Eye Centre jointly organized an Eye Camp at its Regional Office, Jammu on 04th of Feb. 2017.
The Eye Camp was inaugurated by Shri Rajesh Gupta, Hon’ble MLA in the presence of Sh. S.Kalgaonkar, Executive Director, NHPC & Dr. R.D.Sood, Medical Director, Sood Eye Centre, Jammu. Sh. Yoginder Kotha, CE (Civil), Sh. R.K. Kedia, Kuldeep balgotra, Chief (HR), officials of NHPC and other members of Sood Eye Centre were also present at the occasion. S.Kalgaonkar conveyed his sincere thanks to Sood Eye Centre Jammu for organizing the camp with NHPC for the noble cause.
More than 125 persons were checked by the Doctors and were provided free medicines in the camp.
Sh. Rajesh Gupta, Hon’ble MLA appreciated the efforts of NHPC and Sood Eye Centre for organizing Eye Camp. Rajesh Gupta said that NHPC has played a pioneering role in the creation of massive infrastructure for the generation of hydroelectric power in the state and said that in future more and more projects would be taken up to make our state self sufficient in power generation.
on the occasion, Sh. Kalgaonkar said that God has given the precious gift to all of us without which this world is incomplete. Hence each one of us should take preventive measures for protecting this precious gift. Dr. Sood in his address emphasised the importance of vision in day to day life and gave some valuable tips.
