Member of Legislative Council Ramesh Arora, on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day, took out a motor bike rally and hoisted tricolor at a number of places in Jammu city besides attending some functions organized by social and educational institutions.
Starting from Dogra Balidan Samaarak near Karan Nagar, Ramesh Arora hoisted the national flag at Kachi Chawni Chowk outside Arora Sabha, Om Palace, Shakti Nagar, Braham Kumari Ashram, Talab Tillo, K.K.Resorts, Gole Pulli Talab Tillo, Hari Market, Purani Mandi with Mahant Rameshwar Dass, and Shaheed Amarnath Park opposite Civil Secretariat.
Ramesh Arora, while conveying his greetings of the 70th Independence Day to the people of the State, said that we got freedom from the British Rule after a long struggle of troubles, atrocities and sacrifices and today while the national tricolor is being hoisted it should not be just an event of few minutes. On this day, we should go to the history to know as to how our country got freedom and take pledge to remain united against odd forces and work towards strengthening nationalist forces and social fabric so that all the anti-national forces are neutralized.
