Minister of State for Education, Tourism, Culture, Horticulture & Floriculture, Priya Sethi, during her day long sitting at BJP Office on Saturday, heard grievances and problems of the party activists and general public.
The various deputations and party activists who called on the minister apprised her of their problems related to Education, PHE, PWD, PDD, UEED and other departments of the government.
The deputation from Association of Private Schools, Tawi Island, led by Vijay Rakha, alnogwith Brijesh Singh Rana and Rajinder Singh Chib, brought to the notice of the Minister the problems of the schools of Rural areas, especially that of the Tawi Island. Other issues related to the creation of Post of Director Art & Culture for Jammu province on the pattern of the similar one existing in Kashmir valley, domestic torture of a woman, upgradation of schools, grant of permission for building construction, setting up of public parks, consideration of waiting list candidates for the posts of teachers in Jammu district etc. were taken up with the minister.
Many of the problems as raised by the deputationists and party activists were immediately taken up with the heads of concerned departments for immediate redressal, while others were taken up for further communication to the ministers for solutions.
Priya Sethi, while interacting with the party activists and the members of the deputations, said that the BJP has taken a people-friendly decision to make available its ministers at party office for direct interactions with them to have personal feel of the problems and extend help so that people are not made to suffer.
Priya Sethi said that during the last two years of BJP coalition government’s rule in the state, every effort has been made to ensure that the people get good governance and corruption has been eradicated and voice of a common man is heard. She said that various welfare schemes too have been launched by the State government for various under privileged sections of the society with a motive of their social and economic upliftment.
Priya Sethi asked the party activists to reach the masses and educate them about the various welfare schemes and achievements of the government at the Centre and in the state. She also appealed the people not to get misled by the false and baseless propaganda of the opposition parties, who are in deep frustration by the growing popularity of the present government in the state, which is getting overwhelming appreciation from the public for its development and welfare works.
