Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh addressed a massive gathering of BJP leaders, activists and general people during a public rally organized in the Topkhana road, Patiala, Punjab in connection with the three year celebrations of first corruption free Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre. BJP-Punjab State General Secretary (Org.) Dinesh Kumar also accompanied Dr. Singh during the rally.
While addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh said that BJP is committed to revisit and make up for the losses made to the culture and the economy of the country during various regimes. Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Central Government has initiated many welfare schemes for the poor and the downtrodden communities of the country. He hailed the people of Punjab for their commitment and hard work. He also said that Punjab is the land of dancing yellow mustard and singing mighty rivers, blessed by many saints, it is also the land of valour and pride. He also spoke about the various achievements during the three year tenure of NDA Government and discussed about the Central Government schemes in detail and asked all to take maximum benefits out of them.
During his visit, he also had tea with a family hailing from the “Dalit” community under the Samrasta Programme initiated by the BJP on the National level. Speaking on the occasion, he said that all the people are same in the eyes of God and those creating divide on the name of caste and creed are culprits of humanity.
Dr. Singh also addressed a Karyakarta Sammelan, in which he asked them to study and spread the core ideology of BJP to the general public. He asked them to start a campaign to meet every person form every community and start working at the booth levels. He also honoured the Yuva Morcha Karyakartas for their exemplary works for the growth of the party.
Dr. Singh also met with the members of the Vichar Manch and discussed various issues of social relevance with them.
Earlier Dr. Singh paid obeisance at Kali Mata Mandir and Gurudwara Dukh Nivaran Sahib and prayed for peace, prosperity and communal harmony of the Nation.
