BJP State President & MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma took stock of the grave situation of water scarcity in the Ward No. 8 area of his Assembly Constituency due to the bursting and blockage of PHE pipes near Mian Dido Chowk, Ambphalla. He was accompanied by District President Ayodhya Gupta and other party leaders along with PHE Chief Engineer Sushil Aima, XEn Gagan jyoti, Xen Himesh Manchanda, AEE Sanjeev gupta and JE Anil Sharma.
As soon as Sat Sharma reached Jammu from Srinagar, he reached directly to the spot after he was apprised of the plight of public. He was told that the people were suffering acute shortage of water supply due to rupture in 12 inches pipe and the blockade of same. Authorities were facing difficulty in rectifying the fault, as the valve was located in middle of National Highway road. After spot inspection, MLA immediately called the JCB and supervised whole process of digging the pit for the same.
While addressing the public, Sat Sharma appreciated cooperation of public with department of PHE during hot weather. He immediately issued instructions to concerned officials for providing six public stands as temporary provision of drinking water supply to public till adequate PHE supply is restored. He also asked authorities to provide six water tankers, so as to ensure the essential supply.
Sat Sharma also conducted door to door tour of Old Rehari area and interacted with locals to have first-hand knowledge of ongoing development works in their locality. He also inquired about their grievances and assured them that he is always available to mitigate their sufferings. He said that PM Narendra Modi is committed to welfare of people and has opened doors for liberal funding towards the progress of border State of J&K and under the regime of PM Modi, every public representative needs to work day and night for uplifting the masses.
