Initiating a major step concerning improving the condition of public parks and creation of new parks in Jammu West Assembly segment, BJP State President and MLA Sat Sharma (CA) today started the construction works of a new public park which will be constructed at Shanti Nagar area of Ward number 39. Deputy Commissioner Simrandeep Singh also accompanied the BJP President when the foundation stone of the park was laid. Many officials of various departments, local residents and political activists of the area were also present.
The park will be constructed at an estimated cost of more than Rupees 50 lakhs under the supervision of PWD department and pertinent to mention, the land earlier was not used to its potential and after the intervention of BJP President, a fully fledged park was sanctioned by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti so that masses could cater with their needs as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that it is indeed a major sign of development in the area as there was no public park in the locality and the areas nearby and after construction of a modernized park in the area, the public will definitely get relief and they can use the park according to their use. He also stated that thousands of morning walkers from the locality and adjoining areas visit other areas for morning walk and other recreational activities but after the construction of the same, every person will surely find it comfortable and not just adults but kids will also be able to use the same for their activities. He stated that present Government in the State is committed to provide every possible facility to the residents at their doorsteps and in coming times too the same will be accelerated with a greater speed so that masses of Jammu West and rest of Jammu and Kashmir do not suffer .
Simrandeep Singh congratulated the residents of the area and other adjoining areas and stated that the creation of new park in the area will help in improving health conditions of masses as well as the park will be further used for fitness facilities of the masses and they can also keep themselves physically and mentally fit which is a dire requirement in today’s world as healthy body leads to completion of every sort of work in a persons life. He also appreciated the efforts of BJP MLA who is working hard day and night for improving his Constituency.
