“Vibodh Distributes LED Bulbs Under Ujala Scheme”
Moving forward the agenda of the Government towards the path of development, BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta today distributed the LED bulbs in Rajouri. UnnatJyoti by Affordable LED’s for All (UJALA) is a scheme of present Government wherein LED bulbs are being provided to consumers at highly subsidized rates. These bulbs were distributed at a impressive function organized by ParveenKhidmat Centre at Rajouri. Speaking on the occasion Vibodh said that the scheme will help to reduce the electricity bills of the consumers. He further added that this is a visionary scheme of the Government which on the one hand contributes in energy efficiency and on the other hand plays a very important role in environment protection. Vibodh also informed the gathering along with the beneficiaries of the scheme that LED bulbs have a very long life and these bulbs consume very little energy as compared to the conventional bulbs. He said that these bulbswill give monthly benefits to the consumers as in future their electricity bill will also be reduced to a great extent. Highlighting the salient features of the scheme Vibodh said that under this scheme consumer can buy five LED bulbs at the rate of Rs. 20 each by simply showing electricity bills or valid ID cards. In case of purchase of more than five bulbs consumers need to pay an amount of Rs. 75 per bulb which is also a very subsidized rate. Referring to the people friendly policies of the current Government,Vibodh said that with such popular schemes the Government is fulfilling its commitment of reaching to the last man among the poor and marginalized.
District President BJP Rajouri Dinesh Sharma also spoke on the occasion and said that this scheme was launched as part of the Government’s effort to spread the message of energy efficiency in the country. Former Chairman Rajouri Muncipality Rajinder Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that National LED programme was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. NarinderModi with a noble intention to provide regular and sustained benefit to every section of the society.
