Member Parliament Rajya Sabha Sh. Shamsher Singh Manhas & Former Minister & MLA Marh Sh. Sukhnandan Choudhary today distributed eight (8) Scooties to the differentialy abled (handicaped) persons of the constituency from MPLAD (Member Parliament Local Area Development) fund through Social Welfare Department J&K.
Addressing the gathering Shamsher Singh Manhas asked people to take maximum benefit of Central as well as State govt schemes launched from time to time. He said that people of Marh constituency are lucky enough to have such a dedicated represented MLA who is always committed for the welfare of his constituency.
Former Minister Sukhandan Choudhary asserted that differentialy abled persons are very vital part of our society with specialized set of skills gifted by the Almighty God & there is a urgent need to harness these skills from such people and also give them a secure & dignified life. He said that need of the hour is to give this realization to these people that they too have the special role in the development of the society.
He asserted that present govt. at the centre & state as well have taken various revolutionary steps &also made schemes which can provide direct benefit to the poor & marginalised.
Among others presented on the occasion SDM Marh, BDO Marh Ranjit Singh, CDPO Marh, Supriya Kohli, Distt.Social welfare officer,Tehsildar Marh Babu Ram, SHO Kanachak State Gen.Sec. BJYM Vikas Choudhary, Sarpanch Bhadrore Raghubir singh Baghru, Ex-Sarpanches such as Harjeet Singh, Omparkash, Ex-sarpanch Raj kumar, Rajinder Moti, Babbu Sharma & a large number of people of the area were also present.
