Stressing on giving focused attention to skill development for youth, Vice-President BJP Yudhvir Sethi today said that the Skill India mission launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be a game changer for the youngsters of the nation and with requisite training the youth would be able to contribute to the Make in India campaign. He said that the Skill Development Mission would go a long way in equipping the youth with required essential skills for ensuring employability in the corporate sector.
“Our Prime Minister has initiated the skill development mission to train and equip the younger generation with skills and training vital for employability, as more and more trained manpower would be needed for the multinationals which are coming to India under the Make in India initiative,” he added.
Yudhvir who is State Convenor Skill India, Make in India, Start Up Inida and Mudra was addressing a gathering after the inauguration of a Skill Development centre, here.
While emphasising on role of private sector in providing job opportunities to the youth, Yudhvir said that time has come when younger generation should learn the skills and train themselves to join the lucrative private sector in India. In coming times private investors and manufactures would come to India for establishing their business and trained manpower would be in great demand, he added.
He said that the skill development mission would be a boon for those poor and needy youngsters who cannot complete formal technical training and would equip them with needed skills for employment. Similar camps and training programs would be launched all across the state for the youth, he added.
Baldev Billoria District Jammu BJP and Anil Massom District Vice President were also present at the inauguration.
Neeraj Sharma is the project co-coordinator of this programme and the Skill Development centre has been started by the Young Nexus Mission and Manav Uthan Mission in collaboration with Fun First India Limited.
The different courses offered by the centre for skill development of the youth include, Electronics Repair, Solar repair, Mobile Repair, CCTV, Computer, AC, Refrigerator, LED, and other house hold components.
Among others, the event was attended by Nariender Singh Sambyal Mandal President Samba, Narinder Singh Bunty Vice Chairman Sainik Co-operative Society and Sandeep Chib.
