STC Won District Jammu Handball Championship in men section
Calling upon youngsters to take active participation in sports, State Vice-President BJP Yudhvir Sethi said that besides nurturing body and mind of the player Sports is also a good career option. He said sportspersons from the state have shown that with proper dedication and training youngster can excel at national and international levels.
“Our youth have rich talent and all out efforts are being made by various government and sports associations to provide best possible sports facilities for the players in the state,” he added.
He was speaking at the conclusion ceremony of the Three days District Jammu Handball Championship today at M.A Stadium Jammu.
Yudhvir Sethi was the Chief Guest at the function of the championship.
The championship is being organized by Ashwani kumar Raina General secretary J&K Handball association in Collaboration with J&K State Sports Council Speaking on the occasion, He highlighted the activities of the Handball Association and extended thanks to Yudhvir Sethi for active support to the cause of the sport. He said that the association encourages budding talent and provides opportunities to sportspersons who want to take the game at professional level.
.Among others who were present on the occasion were Dr S.M Bali (President J&K Handball association and C.E.O Handball federation of India) Ranjit Singh (Vice President J&K Handball association &Selector Handball Federation of India), Sandeep Verma (Press Secretary J&K Handball Association), Ramesh Mahajan (Life member J&K Handball association) and Dev Raj (Sai Coach).
The final match in Men section is played between Sandeep pal Club and and STC in which STC defeated Sandeep pal Club with score30 -23
Main scorer in STC is Rakesh who Scores 7 goals.
Main scorer in Sandeep pal Club is Rahul who Scores 8 goals
