State BJP’s new head office building was inaugurated at Trikuta Nagar by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, alongwith National General Secretary (Org.) Ram Lal, State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A), MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh, Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Shamsher Singh Manhas and other state level senior leaders and legislators. Before inauguration of the building a havan was performed by Sat Sharma, MLC Ashok Khajuria, Speaker Kavinder Gupta, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, MoS Sunil Sharma and others. After the inauguration Arun Jaitley and other national dignitaries were taken around the entire building and who was all praise for the design and the quality of the work. Subsequently a sammelan of workers and general public was held.
The sammelan was addressed by Arun Jaitley, who recalling the assembly elections of 2008 when he was Prabhari of J&K recapitulated the events that led to the realization of the need to have a more spacious of office premises in the state. He said from that time the planning and the work for the new office commenced. He also informed that present National President Amit Shah has said that he wants to see party office in every district and tehsil of the country. Regarding the old party office in the interior of the old city, he said that most likely a research centre named after legendry leader Pt. Premnath Dogra is most likely to be established there. He also said that bond between the state and the centre is not only political but is also ideological. The present state coalition government has been voted by the people to take care of their problems and our party has talent and capability to meet this challenge. He also said that there is going to be no compromise with the anti-national forces and ideology. Our goal remains to utilize all the right thinking forces from the valley and rest of the state for peace, prosperity and integrity.
Earlier, Ram Lal while welcoming the inauguration of the new building said that it has to be converted into a dynamically alive office and not to remain a mere physical structure. He also enjoined upon the workers to carry out the party programmes in the coming future and especially stressed upon them to celebrate with vigor and zest the birth anniversary of Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar falling on April 14 by holding programmes at every Mandal and Booth level.
Sat Sharma, in his address, said that as old office did not have the sufficient space to meet the requirement of expending party and hence the need to have a new more commodious and spacious premises was felt. It was with the blessings of the party head office at Delhi and the keen interest shown by the Arun Jaitley and Ram Lal that the new premises came to be constructed with due dispatch. He thanked both Arun Jaitley and Ram Lal without whose support the office would not have materialized within the time schedule and felt fortunate that it was completed and inaugurated when he is the State President.
Dr. Jitendra Singh characterized the event of inauguration of the new party office premises as a historical milestone in the history of the state starting with the slogan of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee that “Ek desh mein do Vidhan, do Pradhan aur Do Nishan nahi chalenge” till today when after innumerable sacrifices and satyagrahs by its workers, the BJP is ruling the State and the Country. He added that we must realize that the coming into the seat of governance is not end in itself but is a great responsibility which we have to discharge diligently and with humility.
Dr. Nirmal Singh said that Arun Jaitley inspired us to undertake this project of establishing new office premises and also extended full support in this behalf. Referring to the recently announced PM’s package for the state, Dr. Nirmal Singh disclosed that it has been Jaitley who conceived and framed this package. He added that Arun Jaitley invested his enormous time and efforts in ensuring that this package is meaningful and is also capable of effective implementation. Dr. Nirmal Singh thanked Prime Minister for having assured that money would be always made available to the state for progress and prosperity of the people.
Ashok Khajuria at the end of the programme thanked the Central and State leadership and also the party workers who participated in the programme which was compeered by State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria. The programme was also attended by majority of the MLAs, MLCs, Board Chairpersons/Vice-Chairpersons, State Office bearers, District, Morcha and Mandal Presidents, Cells Convenors.
