Directing for timely completion of Vedanta bridge being construct in Rajouri under Central Roads Fund (CRF), Member Legislative Council Vibodh Gupta today asked officers of JKPCC to ensure that no compromise is made with the quality of work.
In order to review the pace of work, MLC Vibodh Gupta visited the site of bridge construction on the bank of Suktoh river infront of Naban Mohalla of Rajouri town.
Executive Engineer of JKPCC, other officers and prominent citizens were accompanying Mr. Vibodh during this visit.
MLC reviewed pace of work and other aspects of work done so far.
He issued on spot directions to project executing agency to ensure that deadline of project is not crossed and it’s completed within the set period of time and also to ensure that quality of work remains on top.
While interacting with media person on this occasion,.MLC Vibodh Gupta said that construction of this bridge was a decades old demand of people of old town as it will prove highly beneficial in traffic decongestion and will also provide a direct transportation link between old town and Jammu Poonch highway.
” Under Central Roads Funds ( CRF ), there is sanction of three bridge and a circular road for Rajouri and this was my first priority as construction of bridges and circular road will help us a lot in traffic decongestion of town ” he said..
Terming peace as basic need of development, Mr. Vibodh said that developmental pace in Rajouri and Poonch has been increased by many folds by present government and it’s possible only because peace has always prevailed in twin border districts.
” Peace is mark of people of Rajouri and Poonch and it can be gauged from the fact that repeated attempts of disturbing peace here by Hurriyat and other separatists have been foiled since long ” he said.
Vibodh also said that Rajouri and Poonch are on priority of both state and central government and DPR for tunnel construction on Mughal Road is also in process.
Vibodh also thanked both the government for paying due attention towards Rajouri and Poonch which otherwise remained ignored by past govberment.
Ex-Muincipality Chairman Rajinder Gupta said that traffic decongestion is one of the major demand of Rajouri people and sanction of funds under CRF after efforts by MLC Vibodh Gupta is a positive sign in this..
” We just want timely completion of all projects so that people get benefit of these at the earliest ” Rajinder said.
