On Tuesday at R.S Pura 67th Republic day was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervor , the Sub-District Administration and other Social, religious N.G.Os and several youth,mahila mandal organized various colorful programme were organized to celebrate one of the biggest festival of the country. At the PVC Bana Singh Stadium SDM R.S Pura unfurled the national flag .On the occasion MLA RS Pura & Political Advisor to State BJP President Dr.Gagan Bhagat,S.P(HQ) Ramesh Kotwal,Tehsildaar R.S Pura Abhishek Abrol,S.D.P.O RS Pura Harjeet Singh,B.D.O R.S Pura Sanchi Devi,B.D.O Miran Sahib Naresh Digra,A.E.E RNB Arvind Langeh, E.O RS Pura Jodhraj,T.S O RS Pura Ashwani Sharma,T.S.O Miran Sahib Ajay Khajuria,Principal GGHSS Poonam Sharma, Princiopal GBHSS Nirmal Choudhary Z.E.O R.S Pura Ranjeet Kour,Z.E.O Miran Sahib Subhash Verma A.E.E PHE Ravinder Bhatti,A.E.E REW Parvez Bhatti were present.March Past was performed by the various government and private institutions and late on a colourful programme were witnessed at the Stadium in which large number of people from and around R.S Pura were present to witness the celebrations of the republic day.Tricolour was also unfurled at Daljeet Chowk here at R.S Pura where Dr.Gagan Bhagat was present as Chief guest who addressed large number of people from R.S Pura Baazar and heads of various market associations. Later on a gala programme was also organized at the Government Higher Secondary School Salehar in which Dr.Gagan Bhagat on the occasion of 6th National Voters Day at the Government Boys Higher Secondary School in which M.L.A R.S Pura and Political Advisor to State BJP President Dr.Gagan Bhagat was the Chief guest, who unfurled the national flag and was given guard of honor, later on he addressed a mammoth gathering of people from several villagers and remembered the sacrifices given by the freedom fighters and the contribution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar in making the one of the important Constitution in the world.He also appreciated the Prime Minister of India Narender Modi in highlighting the issues like Swacch Bharat ,Beti Bacho-Beti Padhao,Skill India, Kissan Fasal Bima Yojna,Jan Dhan Yojna, Jeevan Suraksha Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna ,Digital India and Make in India , and he further added that soon there will be a popular Govt. in Jammu & Kashmir very soon and the developmental works which were done in the past ten months will be continued with the same pace and people will be benefitted directly. Later on prizes were distributed to the schools who performed well in the March Past and cultural programme and refreshments were distributed among the childrens on the occasion. Prominent among those who were present included Principal GHSS KR Bharti,Rajinder Sharma, Yash Paul,Jagdish Raj,Charanjeet ,Tilak Raj,Pratap Bhagat, Amar Singh Charak, Dwarka Nath, Omkar Singh, Hardev Sassan, Amir Singh and others.
