M.L.A R.S Pura Dr. Gagan Bhagat on Monday kick-started black-topping work in Miran Sahib ,a function was organized at Village Kirpind and after paying tributes at the Gurudwara Sahib. Dr.Gagan started the blacktopping from the Old Coopertaive Society near the Veterinary Sub-Centre at Village Kirpind. The Black Topping work of the said area was the longest pending demand of the locals as when the work started one of the passerby said that he has not seen such a thick Macadum in his life and that too at Village Kirpind ,all the credit goes to the Bharatiya Janata Party and local M.L.A Dr. Gagan , the total length of the blacktopping of road stretch is about 8 kilometers with an estimated cost of Rs.2.8 Crores from R.S Pura Main road Kulliyan to Village Laswara of the Bishnah Constituency. Senior and Prominent citizens from Village Kirpind and its adjoining villages of Khour, Mamka, Phinder, Bhou also accompanied Dr.Gagan and thanked him for his sincere efforts , as the locals were interested in the said developmental work and has been demanding for the past several years, the issue was raised several times before the previous NC-Congress government and their M.L.As ,Ministers but all in vain they did nothing except fake promises and assurances , but as it was promised by the young leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, in his election manifesto in the recently held assembly elections ,the work has been started within few months, this positive change is worth appreciating said Sardar Sampuran Singh of the Village. While addressing the gathering Dr.Gagan said that the Modi Government at the centre is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of three regions of the State including drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, health services, drainage system and education, and the Union government headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been providing liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities adding that state is being developed in all respects .He apprised the people that there was no constraint of funds for completing the ongoing projects in a time bound manner. He also informed that a comprehensive plan has been formulated for up-gradation and expansion of basic facilities to provide all infrastructural facilities to the people of R.S Pura constituency. He sought cooperation of the people in implementing the development program on ground level. The people of the area apprised the MLA about their demands and grievances and sought immediate redressal. Responding to demands and problems of the Border residents who were suffering the most during the recent unprovoked cross border firing by Pakistan, Dr.Gagan assured them that all their issues of the people residing near the Border areas would be addressed in a phased manner, and he has himself taken the initiative of these people along with Loksabha M.P Jugal Kishore on the directions of Dy.C.M Dr.Nirmal Singh and Party High Command. He also assured them that Union government has been briefed up regarding the damages of crops, and loss of livestock of the people residing in the border areas and a plan has been formulated for group insurance of the crops,livestock,and the facilities that are provided to the people living along the L.O.C and A.L.C will be at par with the people residing near the International Border. He maintained that the quality of work will not be compromised and special care will be taken in the execution of works. He added that in the pursuit of making the constituency a model, upgrading the roads shall remain his priority.
