Continuing the programme of ‘Samrasta Divas’ and reaching every Panchayat and village across the State , Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Jammu West Unit organized an impressive program of cleaning the statue of Brig. Rajinder Singh behind Secretariat. State president BJP and MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma (CA) was the Chief Guest in the program. Pertinent to mention, Samrasta Divas was started on April 14 and will continue till April 24 and statues of great personalities across the State will be cleaned in order to give respects to them. A large number of political activists were also present on the occasion. Addressing the Party activists later, Sat Sharma said that the program has been launched across the State and will continue till April 24. He said that Samrasta Divas is being celebrated at each and every Panchayat and Village level and statues of great personalities will be cleaned. He stated that Brig.(retd) Rajinder Singh who fought bravely and died for his motherland gave a great inspiration to many generations and it is our duty as well to protect the name of the great personality who played a major role in saving the State from enemies. He also appealed the masses to come forward and help in fulfilling the dream of Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to build a clean and green nation. Sharma also stated that in coming days such type of programs will be held across Jammu and Kashmir and he also stressed upon public participation as well. District president BJP Ayodhya Gupta, senior leader ND Rajwal, BJYM vice president Karan Sat Sharma, district general secretary Prem Kumar Gupta, Munish Gupta, Naresh Sharma, Jatin Sethi, Dr Akshay Sharma, Raghu Kumar, Atul Bakshi and several others were also present on the occasion.
