Minister for Science and Technology and Transport (Independent Charge) Sunil Kumar Sharma said that new solar projects will be sanctioned to the rural areas as soon as possible to lighten the darkness of sixty years of black out. He said this while addressing a gathering at Dak Banglow, here. Sharma added that transportation will be given anew boost and in order to curb the clutches of corrupt personals, strict majors will be adopted. “Funds have been allocated to take care of the National highway. In addition to this an alternate National Highway project is under consideration for which already required steps have been taken”, Sharma said adding that to provide employment to unemployed youths two major hydro projects are in pipeline which will also boost the economy of the area. Minister stated that the major relief and dream will come true after starting of execution work of Air strip at Kishtwar and air-service will soon be a reality. “We are here for grass root development and upliftment of common masses”, Sharma said, adding that “We plan and take complete actions rather than making hollow announcements”.
