Redress people’s grievances in time-bound manner: Sunil

Minister of State for Transport, Science & Technology, Revenue, RDD, Agriculture and Youth Services & Sports Sunil Sharma has stressed on the need to adopt proactive and prompt approach to redress people’s grievances besides providing people’s friendly environment in the offices. This was stated by the Minister during his visit to various Government offices here today. Asserting the officers to remain at beck and call of the people the Minister said that providing efficient, corruption free and transparent administration to the people of the State is the prime focus of the Government, adding that various measures are being taken in his regard. Exhorting upon the officers to provide various services to the people within stipulated timeframe of PSGA the Minister said that Government is taking all measures to provide better and improved service delivery mechanism to the people of the State. The Minister also said that any laxity on part of officers regarding effective implementation of Public Services Guarantee Act will not be tolerated. During his visit to Mini Secretariat complex, the Minister instructed Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar to inspect various Government institutions regularly to curb absenteeism besides ensuring work culture in Government offices. He also directed the concerned officers of Revenue and RDD to put in place improved and efficient service delivery mechanism so that various services of these departments are provided to poor people in a transparent and hassle free manner. Regarding availability of ration and other facilities in the district especially in far flung areas like Marwah,Warwan and Dacchan, the Minister strictly warned the officers and other staff posted in these areas to remain present at their respective headquarters so that people don’t face any inconvenience. During his visit to ITI, the Minister directed the Principal to focus on skill development of youth so that they get employment in upcoming hydro electric projects in the district. The Minister also visited the offices of Social Welfare, Animal Husbandry, ICDS and Youth Services and Sports. He was accompanied by District Development Commissioner Kishtwar G.N Balwan and others.
