Minister for Public Health Engineering (PHE), Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC), Sham Lal Choudhary today reiterated Government’s commitment for strengthening the rural economy through series of State and Centrally sponsored schemes. The Minister was addressing a public meeting at R S Pura. Members of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma and Samsher Singh Manhas, State President BJP, Sat Pal Sharma besides Sarpanchs, Panchs, Numberdars and other prominent citizens of the area were present on the occasion. Sham Choudhary impressed upon the Sarpanchs and Panchs to ensure regular inspections and supervision of ongoing development works in their respective panchayats. He called upon the PRIs to ensure greater public participation in every developmental endeavour initiated by the administration to achieve tangible results on the ground. He said developmental projects will be given impetus to provide better amenities to the people and special attention will be laid on infrastructural development and proper implementation of the welfare programmes
