On Friday, at Jammu Airport a programme was organized by the Employees Welfare Association of Jammu Airport to pay tributes to Dr. B.R Ambedkar on his 125th Birth Anniversary in which M.L.A-R.S Pura & Political Advisor to State B.J.P President Dr.Gagan Bhagat was the chief guest, while Sh. D.K.Goutam,Director Airport,Sh.R.K Kalsotra,and Sh.Shoba Ram Member Food Corporation of India were the guest of Honour.While the program began with the lightning of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief guest, and before that a warm welcome was given to the Chief Guest Dr.Gagan Bhagat by the E.W.A Jammu Airport , while speaking on the occasion Dr.Gagan Bhagat appreciated the efforts of the employees of the Jammu Airport along with the Director of the Airport for organizing such a program in the history of Jammu Airport , as the whole country is celebrating the “Samrasta Diwas” it is very good initiative that the employees of such a busy airport , and that too in the morning time the employees are paying tributes to the Chief Architect of Indian Constitution which is a visible change after the Prime Minister Sh.Narendra Modi had himself initiated the celebration of Birth Anniversary of Dr.B.R Ambedkar from 14th April to 24th April all over the country in the name of Samrasta Divas and Gram Uday se Bharatoday Abhiyaan , which has happened for first time in our country.And the power of the Constitution of India can be gauged by the fact that a simple and poor person who use to sell tea can become a Prime Minister in India, and the credit goes to Dr.B.R Ambedkar, and Mr.Modi is the first Prime Minister of the country who has visited the birth place t Mhow.Dr.Gagan Bhagat also lauded the efforts of Dr.B.R Ambedkar for uplifting the womenfolk in the society, he was pioneer for raising the voice against the injustice being done with the females, and he advocated for equal place for men and women in the society, and besides this Dr.B.R Ambedkar will also be remembered for his role for the upliftment of the weaker sections of the society.Director Airport Sh D.K Goutam also highlighted the contributions of Babasaheb during the post independence era and due to his efforts only the country was guided through the Constitution of India, and only Dr.B.R Ambedkar had the capability and knowledge to write the Constitution of such a huge country where people of every caste, creed and religion live with peace and harmony, and only through this Constitution a common man can raise his voice.Other guest of honour Mr. Soba Ram and Mr. R.K Kalsotra also paid tributes to Dr.Ambedkar. Vote of thanks was given by the General secretary of the Employees Welfare Association (E.W.A) of Jammu Airport Sh. Ravinder Kumar.The passengers who arrived at the Jammu Airport also halted for a while and attended the program which pointed a positive change in the mindset of the people for Dr.B.R Ambedkar.
