Senior BJP leader and Member Legislative Council, M K Ajatshatru Singh stressed on the need to strengthen the Panchayati Raj institutions for the overall growth of the country. He was speaking in a function organized in connection with Gram Uday to Bharat Uday proceedings and to celebrate Panchayati Raj Day at Mathwar Block office here today.
The programme organized by the BDO office Mathwar was attended by a large number of villagers of Panchayat Sarote and adjoining areas. The programme started with the gathering watching Prime Minister’s speech on the occasion being telecasted live from Jamshedpur. This was followed by speeches made by prominent speakers that included Sarpanch Sudershan Singh, Chairman Sarote panchayat Kali Dass Verma, Block Development Officer.
Speaking on the occasion Senior BJP leader and Member Legislative Council, M K Ajatshatru Singh lauded the untiring efforts of the Central Government led by the dynamic Prime Minister Sh. Narinder Modi for starting a number of schemes for the rural population of the country. He expressed hope that with active participation of panchayats and the state government the rural areas in the state are bound to witness unprecedented development in near future. He stressed that the rural population must come forward to enjoy the fruits of development through active participation in every scheme. He discussed various schemes with the gathering and asked panchs and sarpanchs to educate people about all the schemes.
Kali Dass Verma, Chairman Sarote Panchayat highlighted various demands of the people of the area and requested M K Ajatshatru Singh to help the panchayat in getting basic amenities like road connectivity, drinking water and electricity. He also informed the gathering about various welfare works done by the legislator in the past as well as in the present.
The vote of thanks was presented by the Block Development Officer who assured the people and the legislator that the department will try its best to solve all the issues being faced by the people.
