Dy CM reiterates commitment to empower Panchayats

Panchayats are grass root units of democracy: Sat

“Gram uday se Bharat uday’’ campaign of BJP concluded on Panchayati Raj Divas on April 24 with party leaders addressing public in different Panchayats across the state to convey the message of Narendra Modi government of its commitment for developing villages and empowering panchayats for a prosperous India.
BJP State President Sat Sharma, alongwith State General Secretary Dr. Narinder Singh, State Secretary Vikram Randhawa, R.S. Pura MLA Dr.Gagan Bhagat, MLC S.Charanjit Singh Khalsa, Distt. President Brijeshwar Rana, addressed public in Ban Sultan Panchayat. He said that Panchayats are important units of democracy and Prime Minister has launched a number of schemes for the development of villages and expressed his concern for empowerment of Panchayats. The Modi government has provided one crore free gas connections to poor families and in next three years five crore families will be covered under it, which is indeed appreciable. He further said that an era of development has started in rural areas which will conclude into new Bharat. He also inaugurated a lane in Ban Sultan, which has been constructed after twenty five years.
Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Nirmal Singh, alongwith State Secretary Vijay Sharma, addressed public gathering at Dinga Amb in Kakra Panchayat of Billawar constituency.
Dr, Nirmal Singh, while reiterating state government’s firm commitment to empower Panchayats, said that Narendra Modi led NDA government has focused on villages and the current budget is having the provision of rupees eighty lakh for every village so that the people are provided basic amenities and developmental activities get boost. He said that today even after 65 years of independence thousands of villages do not have electricity and PM Modi has launched Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhayay Gram Jyoti Yojna with an objective to provide round the clock electricity to villages.

State General Secretary (organization) Ashok Koul, alongwith Jammu District President Baldev Singh Billawaria, Disst. General Secretary Vinay Gupta, reached Bhour Camp West Panchayat and addressed local public. He said that Gram uday to Bharat Uday is dream of PM Modi, wherein he has the vision of developing villages for strong Bharat, developed and prosperous nation. He also spoke on PM Adarsh Gram Yojna and providing financial assistance to atleast ten dalit families in a village to start own mean of livelihood.

MLC & former State President Ashok Khajuria, alongwith EX MLA Ashwani Sharma, addressed public in Khairi Panchayat of Bishnah. He said that the PM Fasal Bima Yojna is a gift to the farmers by Nrendra Modi which will compensate them in cases of crop damages due to natural calamities.
State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria, alongwith Distt. President Rakesh Gupta, addressed public at Rathial and Tikri Panchayats and Udhampur town.
MLA Kavinder Gupta, alongwith Sarpanch Vijay Sharma, addressed public at Rakh Gadi Garh and said that various schemes launched for villages are aimed at overall development of villages having good roads connected to highways, clean drinking water, better health facilities and empowering Panchayats.
MLC Vibodh Gupta, alongwith BJP Sharanarthi Cell Convenor Pt.Ashok Khajuria addressed public gathering at Bhour Camp East Panchayat.
