Paying rich tributes to those killed by the militants in Kulhand area of the district 10 years back, MLA Doda today interacted with the families of deceased people and inquired about the relief and compensation provided to them by the successive Governments. Calling it the darkest day in the history of Doda when innocent people on such a large scale fell prey to the bullets of militants, the MLA said, “we all need to unitedly fight terrorism and other social elements responsible for such acts”. He also assured that all the demands of people regarding pending cases of compensations, special police recruitment for the youths of the area and pending SRO cases etc will be addressed in time bound manner. Later, a deputation of people from surrounding area called on MLA and apprised him about their demands vis-a-vis better road connectivity to the area, safe drinking water supply and uninterrupted power supply. The MLA assured that concerned authorities will be directed to redress their grievances in an expedient manner.
