BJP State General Secretary (organisation) Ashok Koul, chaired a series of workers meetings at Basgo, Saspol and Khaltse Blocks, Bodh Kharboo of Chiktan Blocks of Leh District, Shargol Block of Kargil, alongwith local leaders of the party. These meetings were organized under party’s nation wide “Vikas Parv” programmes.
Threadbare discussions were held on party’s political and organizational activities besides taking stock of the problems related to electricity, water, irrigation etc and suggestions were sought to further strengthen the party and helping the government in streamline the working of the departments like PHE, CAPD and PDD.
Ashok Koul, while addressing these meetings, said that different areas of Leh and Kargil have different problems and needs and the party after compiling them, will take up the same with the government so that the people are not made to suffer any more.
Ashok Koul, while stressing upon the party activists to reach the masses and educate them about various welfare schemes launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led NDA government at the centre, said that PM has taken care of all the sections including youth, women, down troddens, farmers, ex-servicemen, border people and the welfare schemes launched during two years are proving to be beneficial to the large population of the county, including the state of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Jammu and Kashmir state has been fortunate enough in getting huge package of eighty thousand crores, besides number of projects related to widening of roads, construction of bridges, setting up of new battalions of IRP, enhancement in the emoluments of SPOs, sanctioning of national highways, setting up of AIIMS, IIT, IIM etc are few gifts in this series.
BJP leaders including State Executive Member Nazir Ahmed, LAHDC Councillor Mr. Morup, Lama Nawang Palzor, Mr. Dorjey, Mr. Lakpa accompanied the State General Secretary in these meetings.
