Vibodh Urges Unemployed Youth to Take Advantage of Various Government Schemes
Today various youth delegations from the remote areas of Rajouri met MLC Vibodh Gupta and requested for his help in early filling of various vacant Government posts. The youth expressed their anguish over increasing unemployment problem. Many youth brought out the fact that they are a valuable resource and Government must use their services in various sectors. The technical skills of various youth were also brought under the notice of the MLC. Many youth were highly qualified and told the MLC that there are running from pillar to post in search of Jobs. Addressing the youth MLC Vibodh highlighted various Government schemes which have been specially designed to tackle the increasing unemployment problem. He said that present Government is serious about this issue and to address the unemployment problem the various steps taken by Government is to ensure that more and more jobs are created in various sectors. He also requested the youth to acknowledge the fact that Government can not provide a Government Job to each and every unemployed youth for this the youth need to look out and avail various other opportunities created by Government for this.
While referring to the various initiatives of the Khadi and village Industries board Vibodh said that this board is implementing various flagship programmes which aim at promoting and organizing Khadi and village industries in the state. He further added that the units established under the various schemes being implemented by the board contribute approximately Rs. 1000 (One Thousand) crores annually to the state economy thereby creating employment opportunities for more than two lakh artisans / workers. As an acknowledgement to the excellent work of the KVIB, this board has been designated as the nodal agency for implementation of prestigious cluster development programme in the state by ministry of Micro, small and Medium Enterprises. In the state of Jammu & Kashmir KVIB is the principle implementing agency of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP). This programme is a credit linked employment generation and micro industrialization scheme of Government of India, which has the potential to engage the unemployed youth of the state and to empower them. He urged the youth to make use of tremendous opportunities created by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narindra Modi and excel in the field of their interest. He encouraged the youth to follow the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister and create jobs instead of looking for jobs.
