An executive meeting of the BJP Leh was held under the chairmanship of Sh. Tsewang Gonbo, District President Leh at party office. It was participated by Gen. Secretary organising Sh. Tsering Yangjor, vice president Sh. Nazi Ahmad and executive members including some Mandal presidents. The meeting focused on the ongoing electric poles replacement and strengthening of the power transmission system in the town, rupees fifteen crore worth metal poles and other necessary materials was approved & sanctioned by the Deputy Chief Minister J&K Govt, Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh for the purpose of strengthening of the internal power transmission system and the meeting decided to advise concern department of the LAHDC to implement the electric poles replacement and power supply Network system efficiently on the basis of suggestion and feedback received from different communities. The meeting was convened exclusively to ensure systematic implementation and efficient utilization of the precious resources dedicated for transmission line strengthening. Bhartiya Janata Party reckoned this particular package as one of the major achievements of LAHDC, Leh as transmission line for power distribution was poor and unsafe in Leh town. The participants considered this particular fund allocation by Dr.Nirmal Kumar Singh as a New Year gift for the people of Leh district.
The meeting also focused on the ongoing power cuts consequences being faced by the people partly owing to the fact that the wooden electric poles are being replaced nowadays. BJP executive members discussed the power cut issue related hardships being faced by the public with concern executive councilor and head of the department to sort out permanent solution for this issue.
Executive members threw significance light on a notice issued by the mission Director, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (Jammu) Leh District which states that Leh district has won 561 crore rupees under various line departments. Sh.Tsering Wangdus, EC agriculture and the team comprising of different head of departments worth appreciating efforts made it possible that Leh district got such a great project dedicated for the welfare of the farmers dwelling in far flung areas of the district. This vast project is designed to be implemented by all line departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, commend area development, Soil conservation, irrigation flood control division, forest and Rural Development Departments as the DPR was a joint exercise. BJP executive members and office bearers congratulated Sh.Tsering Wangdus and wished him all the very best for effective implementation of the project in the coming years for the welfare of the people of rural Ladakh and at the same time president BJP congratulates EC Agriculture for this land mark achievement.
