Former State President BJP and Member Parliament Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas started Plantation Drive at Paloura Park near Raina Hr. Sec. School, Paloura, Jammu along with District Forest Officer (DFO) Neha Sharma & other officials of Forest Department.
Speaking on the occasion, Manhas said that the centre govt. has already given a target to his Party workers & Social activists for the plantation of plants upto 10 Lac across Jammu & Kashmir State. He also encouraged others to follow the same and increase the cover of green in Jammu by planting more and more trees. He also emphasized on the importance of protecting the environment.
MP Manhas also said that it is the duty of every individual to take care of our environment and preserving it for the future generations. Good life will come only when we have a healthy environment to live in. He also urged every citizen to plant a tree in the name of each child in their family for a better future.
On this occasion BJP Senior Leaders Kuldeep Magotra, Ashwani Bali, Bahadur Singh, Joginder Singh, Ashok Singh, Bharat Bushan, Bishan Sharma, Uttam Singh, Ghar Singh, Ranjana Kher and prominent people of the area were also present.
