Doda will get new Bus Stand soon: MLA-Doda
In major setback to Congress party and National Conference in Doda Constituency as over 40 of their party workers including Panch and Sarpanch joined Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Dak-Banglow, Doda in presence of Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh.
While welcoming newly joined workers hailing from Bhagwah and Udhyanpur Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Leader and Deputy Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Nirmal Singh appreciated the hard work of Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar for changing mindset of people especially Muslims with his hard work and developmental agenda.
A high level meeting of Municipal Committees was also held today to review ongoing projects in Doda by Deputy Chief Minister, Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Nirmal Singh in which Minister of State for Transport, Sunil Sharma, MLA, Doda Shakti Raj Parihar, MLA, Bhaderwah Daleep Parihar were also present.
In the meeting, MLA-Doda raised the demand of alternative Bus-Stand to be establish alongside Ganpat Bridge to reduce the burden of traffic in the town, taking serious note; Dr Nirmal Singh personally visited the spot along with officers and directed officers to start the land transfer process.
Shakti said that we have submitted a proposal of Rs 66 Lakh in urban development for the repairing of lane and drains in Doda town, part from that town will also get 40 dustbins and 150 street lights.
While addressing party workers and newly joined workers at Dak-Banglow, Doda Shakti said that Modi charisma has engulfed the whole state of Jammu and Kashmir and joining of hardcore Congress and NC workers in BJP is a sign of change in mindset of local leaders especially among Muslims.
He said people of Jammu and Kashmir were fed up with Congress and NC and they voted us for the change. During our short tenure, we have successfully achieved many milestones such as Medical College for Doda, alternative National highway vie Sudhmahadev-Marmat, Defence road for Bhagwah, Ganpat Bridge are some of our achievements in very short time.
The people also appreciated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s move on the scrapping of high-value currency notes with motive to stop black money and corruption in the country during the meeting.
