In connection with BJP’s constituency level “Vikas Sushasan Sankalp Rallies”, Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, alongwith Pahari Board Vice-Chairman Kuldeer Raj Gupta, MLA Chander Prakash Ganga, MLC Vibodh Gupta and other leaders addressed a massive gathering of party activists and the general public at Poonch.
It was organized by BJP Poonch District President Bansi Lal Sharma.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the gathering, said that be it various welfare schemes or developmental projects of the union government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to bring progress and prosperity in entire length and breadth of the country and Jammu and Kashmir has even got particular share. “ The Modi government has shown deep concern for twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch districts and it has happened for the first time that Jammu to Poonch prestigious projects of rail link and four laning of road have been agreed upon and soon the people will see the work starts for the same”, Jugal said.
Kuldeep Raj Gupta said that the previous PDP-BJP coalition government had followed the central government and here too many new initiatives were taken for development and welfare of weaker sections, remote and far flung areas, with special stress on the SCs, STs, Gujjar-Bakerwals, women and youth.
Chander Ptakash Ganga, while highlighting the achievements of the PDP-BJP government, said that it put a check on corruption, there was no compromise on quality in matters related to development works, total transparency was ensured and people had been appreciating the work culture being introduced. He said that on one hand we were working for good governance and development, the opposition parties were making false propaganda as they could not digest the initiatives taken for the common people.
Vibodh Gupta said that overall development of all the three regions of the state was the hallmark of the state’s previous coalition and there was no complaint of discrimination with any region. He said that the central government has sanctioned record funds for our state and the day is not far when the oft-neglected and remote areas like Poonch and Rajouri too will enter a new era of development coupled with economic upliftment of the poor.
Bansi Lal Sharma, on this occasion, spoke on the problems being faced by the people and said that after the formation of PDP-BJP coalition government in the state, the people here were feeling that their areas have been getting place in matters related to development and welfare. He also expressed gratitude to the MP for paying due attention to Poonch.
