Kavinder provides Rs. 2.4 lakh CDF for artificial Prosthesis

Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today handed over a Demi-Official letter for releasing Rs. 2.4 lakh in favour of young boy namely S. Vikram Singh of Digiana for limb transplantation out of his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Promoting a noble cause to help the needy, the Speaker took this initiative of helping the youth who is suffering from 80% disability due to the problem in his knee.
The young man has not only lost his leg but also his parents in the fatal accident some time ago and is not able to get his treatment done due to the financial constraints. The Speaker said, a deputation from Digiana approached him regarding this issue and he committed them for every possible help from his side.
Recalling the story of his own accident, the Speaker said, “I can understand the trauma through which this young boy has gone as I have also experienced the similar thing in my life and it is very difficult to get support during such tragic times of your life besides running from pillar to post”.
While interacting with the members of the Sikh organization who brought this matter to his notice, the Speaker said, it is our duty to help such persons as they are the future of our nation and such accidents shouldn’t become the road blocks in their life.
He also appreciated the cash help of Rs 20, 000 initially provided to him by the District Development Commissioner Jammu on his recommendation, the Sikh organization hailed the initiative of the Speaker for this generous cause.
Deep Singh, Shanty Singh, Pardeep kumar, Sunny Mehra, Sahil Bakshi and several others were also present on the occasion.
