BJP victory in North east states signifies party’s model of development
Congratulating the party high command for winning majority seats in North east states, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) state general secretary (Org) Ashok Kaul said the party was working for the welfare of people without any discrimination on the basis of creed, caste, religion and region.
Kaul was addressing ‘Booth Workers Sammelan’ at south Kashmir’s Brakpora in Shangas constituency of Anantnag district, on Sunday.
Kaul, Thanked party cadre for turning in huge numbers to attend party activities despite prevailing situation in Kashmir. “You are the ambassadors’ of our party,” he told workers, adding, use party platform to work for the welfare of all sections of society without any discrimination with region and religion.
Kaul also added that BJP don’t discriminate people on the basis of religion or region. “BJP treats all religions equal that is why BJP has two Muslim cabinet ministers in state,” he said, adding, BJP candidates won in Muslim majority areas of Doda, Bhaderwah, Ramban and Kishtwar.
Kaul also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday paused his speech for Azaan during his visit to the new BJP central office after party’s stunning victory in Tripura.
Soon after he began his speech, Modi told the gathering of enthusiastic party workers that he was pausing for ‘azaan’, the Muslim call to the faithful for prayer, audible from a mosque.
Kaul also paused his speech for Azaan.
Quoting Ghulam Nabi Dar, BJP district president Kulgam, Kaul said Dar recently visited party headquarter New Delhi, where he was offered prayer mat (Jahnamaz) to offer Namaz by a party worker. “Dar was also shown the direction of Qubla by a party worker,” Kaul said.
District president Rafiq Wani gave detailed feedback about party activities in Anantnag.
The jubilant workers also celebrated the party’s victory in north east states by bursting fire crackers and distributing sweets.
