BJP conducts several programmes on “Swachta Hi sewa”

BJP J&K State unit conducted several programmes to remember and pay their respect to the great leaders of India, Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries and mark the day of Swacchta Divas under the ongoing programmes under “Swacchta Hi Sewa” from 17th of September to 2nd October, 2017.
State Unit Mahila Morcha conducted a programme on cleanliness drive in the Sarwal Hospital, Jammu which was organized by Veenu Khanna, State General Secretary Mahila Morcha. BJP State President & MLA Jammu West, Sat Sharma was the Chief Guest on the occasion. State Prabhari Mahila Morcha, Suresh Jamwal, District President Ayodhya Gupta was also present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma, said that every programme on the cleanliness must be marked by a pledge to contribute several hours of service in a week towards keeping our Nation clean. He said that the Nation has witnessed too much brooms but very less work, so we must not put total load of cleanliness on a particular segment, but every single person must make his contribution towards the noble act.
Mahila Morcha also felicitated the staff involved in the cleaning of Hospital for their good work in providing a healthy atmosphere for the ailing patients and their caretakers and asked them to take this work as the Godly act as it helps in the fast recovery of the patients. Mahila Morcha also felicitated the superintendent of the hospital, Renu Khajuria for the excellent work and services being provided in the premises.
Similarly, another programme on the cleanliness drive was organized in the Satwari roundabout, in which Minister Ch. Lal Singh, State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State Secretary Ghulam Ali Khatana and other senior leaders participated. Bhupinder Singh coordinated the programme.
Ch. Lal Singh emphasized the role of all rich & poor and all the segments of the society in the maintenance of cleaner atmosphere. He also appealed to the local population to always review all the works beings done in their vicinity and report for any inefficiency to keep the highest standards of safety, cleanliness in the area.
Ashok Kaul made a fervent appeal to the public to own the programmes of public and social welfare by their hearts and not just for the paper works. Meanwhile he also appreciated the role of political, social activists and the common population for the great cause.
Gh. Ali Khatana highlighted the role of plugging of drainage system due to polybags, which has helped in spread of dengue & other communicable diseases.
Meanwhile, Dy CM, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Speaker Kavinder Gupta, Minister Priya Sethi, MLA Rajesh Gupta participated in a programme organized at the Town Hall, Jammu in the shape of a “Jagrukta Rally”.
Speaker Kavinder Gupta, Minister Priya Sethi, Rajiv Charak, Anuradha Charak, Baldev Singh Billowria, Vinay Gupta also participated in a Cleanliness programme in Bagh-e-Bahu.
