Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) held booth sammelan of Anantnag constituency in which members of all the booths participated.
The booth sammelan was chaired by BJP State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, which was organised by Rafiq Wani BJP District President Anantnag, at Dak Bangla Anantnag.
The party workers also observed two- minute silence and remembered the contribution of Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) Leh Dr Sonam Dawa Lonpo, who passed away due to cardiac arrest last evening.
Before CEC-LAHDC, Dr Sonam was the BJP Councillor from Thiksay and President of the Leh District Unit of the party.
While addressing the gathering, Ashok Kaul emphasized on the importance of effective working by booth activists for the growth and extension of party.
Ashok Kaul asked party workers to maintain direct contact with every single voter of the area. “The booth activists hold key to the hearts of the public as they are the face of party at gross root level,” Ashok Kaul said, adding, workers should join hands with the common masses for the constructive work within the community.
Ashok Kaul said the party was committed to address the public issues which have been left unattended by the previous governments. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Centre Government as well as state government have been working on the development and welfare of the people,” he said, adding, the party believes in “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikaas”.
