BJP intensifies campaigning

Sh. Ashok Koul, Sh. Jugal Kishpre Sharma flag off first batch of ‘Vistaraks’

To further boost its campaigning at the grass root level for the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), the BJP today deployed its ‘Vistaraks’ to different districts of Jammu region where they will work full time for expanding party base right from polling booth level.

The first batch of ‘Vistaraks’ on motorcycles was flagged off today by BJP’s General Secretary (Organisation), Sh. Ashok Koul, and MP Sh. Jugal Kishore Sharma, Chairman of Election Campaign Committee, in presence of other senior leaders of the party from BJP head office, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

During the flagging off ceremony, the enthusiastic BJP workers raised slogans like ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘BJP Zindabad-2’ and ‘Ab Ki Baar, BJP Ki Sarkar’. The ‘Vistaraks will do to their allotted districts and cover each Assembly segment of Jammu region.

While speaking on the occasion, Sh. Jugal Kishore said that the overwhelming public support for the BJP across Jammu and Kashmir is the result of the historic and revolutionary steps taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his ten years regime.

He noted that people from all walks of life, different sections and even from other political parties are joining the BJP which shows party’s popularity and acceptability. “BJP will form next government in J&K,” he said.

While speaking on the occasion, Ashok Koul said that the National Conference and Congress are trying to mislead the people of Jammu and Kashmir by promising to restore Article 370 and revert to the pre-1953 status, solely for political gain.

He cautioned that these elements are plotting to push Jammu and Kashmir back into the dark days of stone-pelting and terrorism.

Koul stressed that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, a new Jammu and Kashmir has emerged, where laptops have replaced stones in the hands of the youth, terrorism has been eradicated and tourism is flourishing.

BJP Vice President, Satish Gupta, OBC Morcha President, Sunil Prajapati, Jammu DDC Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Gupta and others were also present on the occasion.
