BJP is committed to empower common masses, strengthen democracy: Sh. Yudhvir Sethi

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi today asked party workers and leaders to gear themselves up for Panchayat polls which he said will pave a way for strengthening Democratic institutions and empowering people at grass root levels. The elected Panchayats not only decentralise powers but will also make people partners in developmental activities.

Going by the words of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Yudhvir Sethi said that true essence of democracy lies in empoweirng people at grass root levels and these elections will do that work for people of Jammu and Kashmir state. He was addressing a well attended party workers from district and mandal level of Kolkote, Nowshera and Sunderbani area of district Rajouri today wherein the BJP leader also reviewed election preparedness of party cadres for coming Panchayat polls.

Asking party cadres of all frontal organisations of BJP including Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) to reach out to masses, the BJP leader said these elections will become basis for 2019 Lok Sabha elections for which party must do its best. Pointing towards exit polls of Gujarat and Himachal, Yudhvir Sethi said the victory trend is continuing and people are rejecting divisive and corrupt forces.

These trends show that people want credible governments that could take them along. He asked Patty cadres to ensure that each and every booth level worker is educated about election processes irrespective of cast, creed, region or religion. Yudhvir Sethi said encouraged party workers at booth level to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s popular radio talk ‘Mann Ki Baat’ which gives insight about many issues and guides masses to work in that direction.

He asked party cadres to prepare for Panchayats polls keeping an eye on next parliamentary elections. J&K has already suffered a lot and needs credible governments which none other than present dispensation can give. Yudhvir Sethi said liberal funding by central government coupled with state government’s initiatives and party workers enthusiasm is going to change the fate of people of all three regions of state for which people of Sunderbani, Kalakote and Nowshehra must also gear themselves up.

BJP Vice President Rajni Sethi asked Party works and leaders to encourage cadres to remember Pt. Prem Nath Dogra, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Pt Deen Dayal Upadhaya, Dr. Bheem Rao Ambedkar on their days and also celebrate party’s Stapana Diwas (Foundation Day) with great enthusiasm.
